Hola chic@s, hoy os vengo a presentar una canción que ME ENCANTA y escucho todos los días. No es una canción originalmente creada por esta banda. Se trata de "Stairway to Heaven", también llamada "Stairway to Nick John", de Mastodon, que está basada en "Stairway To Heaven" de Led Zeppelin.

El pasado sábado 13 de abril se celebró el Record Store Day , evento en el que las bandas suelen poner a la venta ediciones limitadas de sus canciones.
La banda, sobre esta canción, comentó:
A principios de septiembre de 2018, perdimos a uno de nuestros amigos más cercanos y nuestro fanático más grande, nuestro manager Nick John. Era esencialmente el papá de la banda. Desde nuestros máximos más altos hasta nuestros mínimos más bajos, siempre estuvo allí. Cada movimiento que hicimos lo probó él primero, ya que nuestra confianza en él era profunda. Su banda favorita, además de nosotros y Gojira, fue Led Zeppelin. Nos pidió que interpretáramos "Stairway to Heaven" en su funeral. Pensamos que deberíamos grabar una versión de estudio y lanzarla en el Record Store Day como un tributo a Nick, y donar las ganancias a la investigación del cáncer de páncreas. No seríamos la banda que somos hoy sin la ayuda de Nick John. Lo extrañamos mucho y pensamos en él siempre. Te amamos amigo.
Se ha publicado en una edición limitada de vinilo de 10 pulgadas con la versión de estudio en la cara A y la grabada en el funeral en vivo, en la cara B.
