I woke up this morning with no idea whatsoever how I was going to handle my class décor. A new session is starting this coming Monday and my kids would all be excited to return to school for another exciting musical year, yet I sat clueless on my bed how I was going to wield the fate of these 3-8 year old kids.

Thank goodness the cleaners resumed work a bit earlier during the week than I did. They ensured that I wouldn’t have to sniff in any dust when I got to work today. So I was happy to know that I would have a neat dust-free class to seat and think about my life ….
I assembled all the materials I would need to start the class décor and was ready to do nothing.

Materials

• Scissor
• Sugar paper
• Cardboard
• Masking tape
• Glue
• Razor blade
• Pencil
• Crayons
• Eraser
• FOOD (most important)’
  I started with the food, I mean I was really hungry after a long workout session this morning back at my apartment. Soon after having my meal I decided to start with covering the door; I gathered my yellow sugar paper to serve as the overall covering for the whole door, but it still wasn’t enough and I had to complement with an orange cardboard towards the base of the door.

I then decided to combine some white and black cardboard to make a “cardboard piano.” Took me about an hour to do this, considering the fact that I had to use a masking tape to bind those tiny black lines on the white paper to separate the keys.

Next I had to think about what my kids will appreciate, then I thought:

DOG

THEN IT HAPPENED … I BLANKED OUT

Enter my savior wrapped in a little pretty lady

She came in and immediately started acting like I was working for her. I guess the lady in her took over. She was like :

”Write this!”
”Cut that!”

Then being the lady that she was, she got to work and cried when I wasn’t doing things her way. I still didn’t mind that she basically took over everything; I mean… some seconds ago I was clueless.

I then suggested we come up with some write-up to match the images on the door:

MUSIC IS AWESOME

MUSIC IS SWEET

MUSIC IS LOVE

Being quite the lady she went for the obvious, then suggested we use instruments to depict the LOVE write-up… genius right?

WE THEN PAUSED FOR THIS SELFIE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO COMPLETE THE DOOR DÉCOR

We did well yeah?
