Ample sound are well known in the music technology industry for creating clean sample based VST plugins of various acoustic and electric guitar instruments such as the 12 string (AG1 modelled after the Taylor 956CE 12 string), upright bass, gibson (AGH modelled after the Gibson ES 335 Fingerstyle), the fender telecaster (AGTC modelled after John english’s Fender Telecaster) and so on.

Although it's surprising that this new VST is not guitar related, it’s not at all surprising that it sounds really good...especially since it's a free product!

I haven't tested this out myself but from the examples I've heard it sounds really good! It's modelled after a steel tongue drum and has the classical bell-like sound which is expected from a steel tongue drum, they are similar to a “hang” by sound but are slightly different since they can be played using a mallet and by hand unlike the hang.

Cloudrum Demo:

The plugin is built with a compressor, 5 band equalizer, stereo delay and reverb which will help in designing/personalizing the samples recorded for the plugin.

You don't need an account to download it, simply hit the link below. Also while you are on the site, check out the other plugs which they have designed, lite versions of a few of their well known plugins are also available free of charge!
