Being pretty sheltered growing up, I didn't have much exposure to "good music". In my 20's someone introduced me to Slayer, and my mind was pretty much blown. These days I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, but Slayer and some elements of metal music will always be in the rotation.
Slayer this week announced their farewell tour. Slayer formed in 1981 and was one of the Big 4 bands that forever changed metal music. They will be missed but we can always dust off the old CDs or vinyl and remember SLAYER!!!!
Even though they've announced their farewell tour, I haven't heard definitely that they are done making music. I know that Tom Araya hates touring, so perhaps we'll hear some studio work in the future. One can hope :)
