Boards of Canada- Electronic Beats that Explore Analogue Dreams

in music •  8 years ago  (edited)

Boards of Canada is an unusual Scottish electronic music duo that came out in the 1990's. Their music is atmospheric, dreamlike and employs sound collage, sampling, analogue tapes, children's voices, cryptic messages and sounds from the past. There are also references to numerology and cult figures such as David Koresh. It is haunting and gorgeous.

Some of my favorites from the "Music Has the Right to Children" are:
31:24 ....."Roygbiv"
40:35 ....."Aquarius"
1:03:04 .."Happy Cycling"
