Bob Marley was 32 when he recorded “Three Little Birds.”  Dionne Bromfield recorded her version when she was 15 years old. When Connie Talbot released this lively and cheerful version, she had just reached the tender age of 8.

Chart-Topping Hit

On the UK Independent Singles chart, this version by Connie reached Number 3. In the US, on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart, it reached Number 1. It has sold more than 250,000 copies across the world.

The delightful video was filmed in Jamaica in spring of 2008, but was not released until the summer of 2013.    (Image source)

"Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin'
Smile with the risin' sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Sayin', "This is my message to you-ou-ou."

Singin': "Don't worry 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right"
Singin': "Don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin'
Smiled with the risin' sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Sayin', "This is my message to you-ou-ou."

Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, worry about a thing, oh!
Every little thing gonna be all right. Don't worry!"
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing" – I won't worry!
"'Cause every little thing gonna be all right"

Singin': "Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right" – I won't worry!
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right”
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, oh no!
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"
