Continuing with the Fado feel, I'll present to you another "Fadista" (Fado Singer), this one fully consagrated
and with a very long and successful career: Mariza
She is considered one of the heir of Amália Rodrigues, the most well known Fado singer
of the Portuguese dictatorship period. For me, as for many, Mariza is even better. She is just unbelievably talented as you can appreciate in the songs that I'll leave here.
As you might notice, if heard something about Fado, the instruments go beyond the basic "classic guitar + portuguese guitar + singer" used in a more traditional interpretation of Fado themes. In the First Song "Gente da minha terra" there are strings adding to the harmony and in the second theme "Rosa Branca" there is also a "cajón" givin' it a bit of a flamenco feel.
Hope you enjoy!
Love fado!
