Learning to play a musical instrument takes a lot of work. Practice and patience and even more practice. And that can be great resistance. The devil is believed to be very fond of music, which is not surprising. After all, it has the best melodies.

Lucifer is said to have a special affinity for stringed instruments, especially violins and guitars. In exchange for a single soul and with any condition, the prince of darkness can teach you to really play the guitar. He can make you a star.

You may think that no one would accept this offer, but we found at least 10 musicians who reportedly thought it was big business.

So why not treat yourself calmly and exchange that soul today? Who has time for Libra?

Trombonists do not have to apply.

List Of Musicians Who Sold Their Souls To Devil:

Jimmy Page

Legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page studied the occult for a time. He bought Aleister Crowley's old Loch Ness house, which he believed was haunted. He often spoke of the strange experiences he had had there.

He followed Crowley's occult teachings on how to focus your intentions on what you want to get out of life. Apparently, Jimmy just wanted to play a bad guitar, and he definitely got that request.

Many people claimed that they sold their soul to the devil to get a quick finger, to which Page responded that if so, so did the rest of the band.

Which is not exactly a denial. This could be the origin of the myth that one hears demonic voices speaking when playing backward down the stairs to heaven.

Paganini

Niccolo Paganini was a violinist and guitarist, so he had no chance. He was born in Genoa in 1782 and began to learn to play the violin at the age of 7. He is considered by many to be the greatest violin virtuoso of all time.

He was so much better than his peers that a rumor circulated and persists that he must have sold his soul in exchange for his virtuosity (if not his virtue). It could have been that, of course, or it could have been the hours of practice and his extremely long fingers that allowed him to play three octaves on four strings, which was unknown.

His palms were likely due to Marfan syndrome, which generally makes people with long limbs extraordinarily tall. Paganini, like all musical geniuses, mainly used his abilities to have girls. He was a great womanizer and is said to have captured the souls of young women with his violin, although no one explained how he did it.

A concert attendee in Vienna even claimed to have seen the devil wielding Paganini's arm. Which probably led to interesting conversations during the break.

Robert Johnson

Robert Johnson is probably the most famous soul in the Devil's collection.

It is said that sometime in the 1930s he encountered the devil, supposedly at Clarksdale Crossroads.

It is said that he was a decent harmonic, but a "terrible guitarist". Then it disappeared for a couple of weeks. He reportedly brought his guitar to the Mississippi crossing, where the devil returned his guitar and gave him some lessons.

When he returned, his terrible guitar technique was now described as "impressive" and "masterful."

When Robert Johnson died in 1938 at the age of 27, the rumor became fact, and Johnson is now officially known as the Devil's Bluesman.

Giuseppe Tartini

It is said that Giuseppe Tartini not only sold his soul to the devil but also composed a song with him. Trillo del Diavolo or The Devil's Trill came to Tartini in a dream. The music came to him, he said, after his dream also sold his soul.

However, he was unable to verify the fine print of the deal, as the music he wrote when he woke up was not as complex as the devil's tune.

But maybe that's a good thing because Devil's Trill is considered one of the most technically demanding violin pieces ever written. Although he was a very accomplished musician, he soon discovered that he was not good enough to play his own melody, so he had traded his soul for a melody that he could not play.

They are cheats, these demons.

Tartini spent the rest of his life making his own melody well, which must have been annoying. However, he was a top-notch musician, as well as a notorious womanizer, bully, and skilled swordsman.

John Lennon

John Lennon is famous because the Beatles are bigger than Jesus. We knew then that he was a blasphemer. Yet one Beatles scholar has spent years interpreting hidden messages and symbols in John Lennon's music, illustrations, and album covers, and believes he has "proof" that Lennon is actually selling his soul to the devil. Have.

He follows a seemingly "intriguing" trail of sorcery, mysticism, numerology, and theology to explain his theory, as well as the somewhat less reliable mystical science of anagrams and backward song listening.

Okay, this Beatles scholar is probably a little crazy, but who are we to judge? Lennon is said to have signed his pact with Lucifer sometime in December 1960, just before the first known outbreak of this known viral disease, Beatlemania. If that's true, Lennon seems to be going through an especially difficult time, as the other 3 members of the band have probably managed to keep their souls intact while sharing the fame.

Lennon was promised 20 years of success before the devil got his back.

Lennon died on December 7, 1980.

Snoop Dogg

Usually, these transactions of the devil's soul are kept secret. However, from time to time an actor appears who likes to talk about it. Or even sing about it.

Snoop Dogg admits that he was in a dark place at the time he heard a voice saying, "Bring me your lifestyle, I'll improve it."

Mr. Dogg asked how long he would live and the voice replied, "Eternal and forever."

Sounds like a good deal. There is evidence that the artist initially believed he was making a pact with God but was deceived by the devil.

Or maybe it's just a song.

It's up to you.

The Rolling Stones

In 1968, The Rolling Stones released a new album that confirmed the darkest suspicions of all parents. Rock and roll was indeed the devil's music. The opening song for Beggar's Banquet was, of course, Sympathy for the Devil.

Keith Richards told Rolling Stone magazine that some people consider them "unknown agents of Lucifer" while others believe that we are Lucifer.

Either way, they were a problem.

However, some of his fans actually opted for Satanic Majesties (the title of his previous album). The Hells Angels in particular did. If any illegal motorcycle gang could have had an official anthem, it was Sympathy For The Devil. They gave the Stones "security" at the free music festival in Altamont.

Problems arose during this song and shortly thereafter a teenager was stabbed to death.

Although the song was not directly related to the sting, the Stones stopped playing the song live for a long time. Since then, the stones have been haunted by rumors of devil worship, possibly due to secret messages embedded in their music, or possibly due to the large horned demon head tattooed on Mick's chest.

Philippe Musard

Philippe Musard was a French musician, composer, and conductor known as much for his colorful life as for his concerts, which says something because the concerts were labeled as chaotic and seditious affairs.

Philippe Musard was the rock star of the 19th century.

He certainly had a theatrical flair and loved to surprise his audience. Musard was the first director to stand up during his performances and the first to wave his arms wildly. Sometimes he even threw his baton into the audience. He is credited with inventing the frenzied and hellish dance tunes that were often used to accompany the tin dances of the time.

He was phenomenally successful and Parisian pastry chefs even sold his portrait in chocolate. While directing, he is said to have made strange faces and seemed almost obsessed with his wild gestures. Possibly this led to the persistent rumor that Musard had made a pact with the devil.

Tommy Johnson

Blues musician Tommy Johnson is the man rumored to be credited with saying that Robert Johnson sold his soul at a crossroads. This is weird, because, before the rumor spread, Tommy was believed to have done the exact same thing.

Tommy Johnson was one of Mississippi's most influential bluesmen in the 1920s and 1930s. His older brother LeDell taught him to play the guitar when Johnson raced from their home to the Mississippi Delta as a teenager. When he returned 2 years later, he was an experienced guitarist.

LeDell Johnson claimed that his brother met a "mysterious figure" at an intersection. The stranger turned his guitar for him, after which he was able to play like the devil. What a story exactly what Tommy said about Robert Johnson.

Could it be that Tommy Johnson was diverting attention from his own diabolical encounter? Or maybe the devil spends a lot of time hanging out at the intersection with a guitar tuner.

Bob Dylan

In 2016, Bob Dylan received the Nobel Prize for Literature. It was a surprise for everyone. Except maybe Bob. In an interview, he stated: “It is a question of destiny. I did a devilish business and I keep my end ".

Well, that seems pretty conclusive. However, it shouldn't have been surprising. Bob Dylan apparently died on July 25, 1965. Coincidentally, that was the same day he took the stage with an electric guitar on stage at the Newport Folk Festival.

An electric guitar. At a folk festival. To make matters worse, he was joined by a rock band and began a decidedly unfold rendition of his new song "Like a Rolling Stone."

It didn't start out well.

So it won't come as a surprise to any of the tambourine-shaking harmonica fans that Dylan has signed an unholy pact.
