How To Learn To Play The Piano On All Keys… Using The 3X12 Formula

As a Keyboardist, have You ever been in a situation where all You could play on is Key C…
And then You get to this function where You have to play on a Grand Piano (ooops) or a Keyboard.. without The Transpose facility! (Urh hurh!)…
And then, Sister or Brother (whoever) is leading has to sing on another KEY entirely.. Hehehehe

Well, ofcourse You can’t expect them to always sing on C!

That’s sure gonna be a nightmare for You if You don’t know how to play on The 12 Piano Keys (C-B: Including the Blacks, Yes!)

Alright, let’s get to learning.

You can learn to do this quickly using The “3X12 Formula”.

Its pretty easy, all You havta do is get your 3 most loved songs… score them.. (Using the number system preferably).
When I say score, I mean get the Solfas, the Chords and every other ingredient or recipe for this sauce ready.

And then, we gotta learn to play it one by one on all the 12Keys (C to B).
Like I said earlier, its easy…

Do it one by one, if you have a consistent rehearsal time, You should begin to experience great improvements after say 2 weeks of doing this…

So, say u like:

--Mali Music’s All I have to give
--J Moss’ Caught Up In Love
--Donnie McClurkin’s Days Of Elijah

This means You’ll Take the first one:
Mali Music’s All I have to give, score and learn it well on Key C (using the number system), you have to have this one thing in mind, speed is not a priority at this stage, but accuracy is all that matters, so this will mean to You that, You’ll slow the practice down to “turtle speed” until what You’re learning is sunk deep into “long term memory.”

And then after You master it on Key C, Move to key C#, then to D, then D#… and so one, after you’ve gotten that through all the keys (which might take You like a week more or less,) You’ll move to the next song and start from Key C.

Trust me, some of You might not have to get to the end of all three songs before You get a heck of this “Playing On All Keys.”

So, let’s hear from You!
–Do You initially play on all keys?

If Yes, how did You learn?
If no, how many keys do You play on? And how have You been learning?
Who knows, You might be helping someone learn better.
