Weekly Classical Music Recommendation

in music •  7 years ago

I am going to attempt to make recommendations for classical music suggestions for anyone interested in improving their classical music knowledge and appreciation.
Once a smart person told me that appreciating classical music is like appreciating wine. One needs some education to learn how to appreciate wine and without some training of the pallet it may taste gross to majority of drinkers. Well, classical music is very much like that. There's a wide range of classical music sub genres that you may not even know, but I will try to help and shed some light on it.

And.. without further adieu, here's my pick for today's recommendation: Felix Mendelssohn - Symphony No. 3 in A minor ("Scottish").

You can listen to this symphony just about anywhere - Spotify, Youtube, DTube, Etc. It's hard not to find it. But as you listen to each movement, try to focus on melodies and name each instrument by the sound if you can. I highly recommend listening to each movement several times to get the best of it. This symphony will blow your mind after you hear it 5 or 6 times. Just watch..

As always, happy listening and thanks for stopping by. If you like it, please upvote. I'll return the favor. Cheers!
