To answer that question one could probably roll the magic 8 ball and get NO every time. I think the Journey fans have a better chance of seeing Jonathan Cain part the seas with his new book. Nope ,I just don't see any new music coming out of these guys. In fact, there is rumor out there or speculation that Journey's touring contract is up in 2018. This could be their last year on tour EVER! So buy your tickets while you can. I'm going to see them at the end of May (this month).
Def Leppard fans can sit back enjoy the show this summer and expect something new from them coming out probably in 2019. I heard this week they were planning on recording a new album sometime after their tour with Journey is over. One could assume that would be sometime next year. I'm looking forward to new Def Leppard music aren't you?
And that leaves us with the age old question, will Steve Perry ever do anything, sing, release new music? etc. There are a lot of rumors about a new album that has been done and in the "can" so they say..for years. Someone even said they heard it and claimed it was a masterpiece. Don't quote me on who said that but I think it was Randy Jackson (yo dog!) Will it ever see the light of day? I doubt it. Mr. Perry has been saying he has been recording, writing, and cutting new music for over 10 years now. It just isn't going to happen folks. I've lost all hope but we'll continue to write about him.
Thanks for stopping by. We'll continue to monitor Journey for any new rumors or stories about the band as well as other classic rock news that comes into play but until then, Don't Stop Believein'
