Secret Step 6

Engagement

Step 6 is an optional step you could include in some of your songs. It's an extended two-liner at the end of the song after the big climax. It usually poses a question or a swerve and sung in the melody of the verses. Let me give you an example:

Climatic Chorus
I'll be there for you,
oh oh oh, for you,
I'll always be there for you,
oh oh oh you,
Whether you know it or not,
I'll be there.

Engagement (Question)

But after all this time,
Did you even know that I am here?

Now, let's try it with a swerve:

Climatic Chorus
I'll be there for you,
oh oh oh, for you,
I'll always be there for you,
oh oh oh you,
Whether you know it or not,
I'll be there.

Engagement (Swerve)

When my time has come,
I'll be right there with you.

Both of these potential ending will be enticing and create a sense of suspense. Kind of like the extra scene after the credits in a Marvel movie.
