Good morning good people.
I am just going to share my excitement of the arrival of my latest LP purchase, Send Away The Tigers by Manic Street Preachers. It is their seventh studio album and originally released in 2007. I have been a fan of The Manics since their first album Generation Terrorists in 1992. Send Away The Tigers is my favourite.
The first thing to notice is that there is a slight change in the track listing. Underdogs has been replaced by the much better Welcome To The Dead Zone. I think the change is justified. It was originally planned to be on this album. There is also a 2nd LP of Demos (I haven't got around to listening to this yet).
There is also a digital download card, which means I can put it on my MP3 player. This download is for the whole of the 2CD package, so I have an extra set of tracks, including a cover of Rihanna's Umbrella. There is also a Christmas song which I think ended up being a free download later that year. There are some great tracks on this too.
Back to the main album, it is a return of Manic Street Preachers in top form. Like they've just gone in the studio and recorded the perfect Rock album. The Manics have their own genre of music, but on this one you can hear the Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses influence.
Now, I'm going to stop writing and start playing. Go get. It's cheap on Amazon UK.
