This is the same Suite of several songs from the second side of the album "Abbey Road". The song "Golden Slumbers" opens a sequence of songs that lasts until the end of the album. It is followed by "Carry That Weight" and "The End". These songs, recorded as a whole, were created by Paul McCartney (officially attributed to the Duo Lennon-McCartney). Producer George Martin was responsible for arranging and orchestrating the string and brass parts. The recording of "Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight" began while Lennon was in the hospital after the accident in Scotland. George Harrison played bass and Ringo Starr – on drums. For a long time this composition was never performed live, as the Studio recording was not easy – in addition to the Beatles themselves, an orchestra of twelve violins, four violas, four cellos, double bass, four horns, three trumpets, trombone, bass trombone was called. On Wednesday, July 2, 1969, three Beatles recorded 15 takes of the song. The best of them were the 13th and 15th, which were compiled the next day.
However, with the development of electronics, it became possible to connect directly at the concert recordings of the orchestra and the choir, and this song was performed by McCartney himself and his group at concerts, and at certain events, as well as other performers began to try to perform it live.
I suggest you listen to a great live performance that I found on youtube ... where McCartney is helped by world-class musicians – Phil Collins is sitting on the drums, and mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and someone else is not sorted out with guitars.

Love the Beatles! Such classic music, and well before their time!! I recently went to New York and took pictures at the John Lennon memorial.
And that first photo there on Abbey Road, my friends and I took a photo just like the picture. However, the cars on that road were not happy with us for stopping traffic for the photo! LOL!
