HomeEditorial Already, Just Relink Blink-182 Editor January 31, 2015 Editorial Share Tweet +1 A few days ago we were treated to a classic drama, interesting but not artistic. "Tom is not part of Blink-182" a remarkable statement from Travis is a question mark for all pop punk people in the world, not just a question mark whether it is serious but also an attacking denial, knowing that their favorite band already not on the same page. The great Noel Gallagher of Oasis once he was asked about the possibility for Oasis back together, could the sentence be used for the Blink-182 case, which actually has been 'dead' since 2005?

Late 2014, we are all made hysterical with the news of the release of new album Blink-182 in the summer of 2015. Not just a rumor of international publications wrote that ngabarin this, even Tom and Mark always call it in their interview that they will bring Blink-182 is back in 2015 with a new album. Every time they talk about the new album Blink-182, they always look excited, they are able to convince us that they will release a new album. But what happened a few days ago, who could have guessed it? Who would have guessed if the end they were buried so far was already too much and in the end they can not make cover-up again?

Who is to blame? Would we refer to Tom as the main culprit? Before Tom DeLonge's letter was publicly published, it would have been a very easy thing to point out Tom as the source of the problem, but wait, there's always another story out there. But here we are not going to discuss who is wrong who is the victim because agree or not, what happened a few days ago shows one thing for sure, the heart is not there anymore. Mark may claim he and Travis are ready to write new material Blink-182 even without Tom, but without Tom still it is not Blink-182 that we know. Blink-182 is long dead and it will be difficult to bring it back without a miracle.

"And even as I watch them act so different to what I know of them to be, I still care deeply for them. Like brothers, and like old friends. Tom DeLonge Bringing together the ego of adults is another thing, but bringing together the views of music in a band is the thing to do. We can not, "Why do you like jazz?

If you want to play jazz gapapa, try to lo nge-jazz me tetep play punk how the results. "We need to have consensus how the band's sound should be and in the case of Blink-182 now it is something that seems very difficult to do. Let's go back to 2005 after they announced their hiatus, in just a matter of years we get 2 very solid bands, Angels & Airwaves and +44. Does their music sound similar? Not. Are they doing it gladly? It seems so.

In the end, you'll find something that you really love - that's the thing I've been up to. I feel like I'll eventually find something I'm looking for after I release something I think I like and that might be an analogy to the Blink-182 case. Not like the +44 'cuman' ngeluarin 1 album, Tom DeLonge with Angels & Airwaves was actually very productive, with 5 albums that they've released so far. Lately, Tom started more serious with AVA when he set up a multimedia company called To The Stars, which was clearly built for AVA support. Remember her interview with Rock Sound? He himself nekanin, Angels & Airwaves not just a band, but a work of art. It is enough to know what the main priority Tom for now and unfortunately it is not Blink-182.

Maybe from the beginning Tom knows that he has not felt the feel for playing with Blink-182 again. Tom is already comfortable with AVA and everything he's got at the moment and he does not want to be forced out of that comfort zone, but for friendship's sake, he can not deny Mark's call to Travis. Tom never wholeheartedly accepted Blink-182's reunion and maybe Mark as Travis knew about it. Tom's mistake was not to communicate his inconvenience directly, instead through his manager who clearly made Mark as Travis become less valued. To be honest, this is not surprising because 10 years ago this has happened.

So what's next? Blink-182's new album? If by contract, they should release the album 6 months away. But will Tom be in it? Can you imagine how awkward the situation in the studio after all the conflicts that occurred in these few days if Tom finally mutusin make stay in Blink-182? The chemistry is gone and we do not see that happening without something magical is happening.
