For me, this is the true John. The powerful artist combining his creativity with a cause he believes is achievable.
People send a lot of hate towards Yoko, but the truth is that she didn't break up the band and Paul has even said that. She did, however, help John to act more purposefully than he had before. In a way, she gave us Imagine, Give Peace a Chance and Instant Karma because of how she inspired John.
I love all his music, but the music from this period coupled with his and Yoko Ono's campaign for peace, love and freedom (post flower power) captures my imagination. Here's to the Lennon's, Ono's, Ghandi's and Mandela's of this world.
Imagine!
