Perhaps an apology is foremost in order from Zig who has been conspicuously absent from practically all social media for the better part of two and a half years now. Some excuses in the past to closest friends have included, "...lucky to have landed a lucrative though thoroughly demanding day job...", "...too mentally/spiritually/physically exhausted...", etc.
Although there was substantial truth to these claims, in a broader context Zig was somewhat patiently attentive, and apparently the Universe quietly conspiring to IRL digging himself out of his own subjective phenomenology generally referred to as The Dark Night of the Soul, mid-life crisis, or whateverTF you'd call a consistent eight to ten year period of fairly close to nothing going well.
So how'd Zig's turnaround materialize? First, in a most unpredictable way he met Seen Loc and his lovely bandmate & stage performance partner, Alien Baby Girl at an event Zig attended with his own furry grandson and the grandson's mom and aunt. Seen Loc encouraged Zig to go to the Hollywood studio of Green Jellÿ WTF-TV
Anyone remember the MTV classic claymation-based video Three Little Pigs? -- Yes, that Green Jellÿ and their WTF-TV studio where Zig met the founder of Green Jellÿ, Bill Manspeaker, also good friends with Seen Loc and Alien Baby Girl.
Bill Manspeaker is one of these cats around whom there tends to be happenings... While volunteering some background and backstage ninja work for WTF-TV, Zig also slipped into the background of the recent Vice documentary on Bill Manspeaker in a few places if you look for Zig in a black and white tie-dye tank top (@2:08, @7:59, @... )
As an example of "...cats around whom there tends to be happenings...", the founding members of Tool apparently met while sitting-in with Green Jellÿ, talking about Bill Manspeaker's penchant for blending band/audience/experience.
Through this network and just having fun scoping-out and taking-in the whole scene, Zig met Justin Symbol, founder of The God Bombs. That fairly much sums up the happening happening in Zig's music career at the moment...
Happy listening!
