Type O Negative (TON) was an American gothic/rock metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1989 which split up after the death of its iconic singer, Peter Steele in 2010. I heard my first TON-Song at a party in my teenager-years and instantly fell in love with them - altough I was quite into Rap at this time (yeah, youthful follies). They are one of my favorite bands today, so I still listen to their unique music nearly every day.

My Top Five:

5: Maybe their greatest (but not their best) hit was "Black No 1" (from their album "Bloody Kisses", 1993)

4: Very atmospheric: "Wolf Moon" (from their album "October Rust", 1996)

3: Their greatest cover: Paranoid (from their album "The Origin of the Feces", 1992)

2: Simply perfect: "Love You to Death" (from their album "October Rust", 1996)

1: I know its awkward: I listened to this so much but it never got boring (in fact I had a cassette - good old times - with just this song - and I would listen to this over and over)

This list is just the tip of the iceberg: There are so many other great TON-Songs! Check out their albums:

1991 – Slow, Deep and Hard
1992 – The Origin of the Feces (Not Live at Brighton Beach)
1993 – Bloody Kisses
1994 – The Origin of the Feces (Re-release)
1994 – Bloody Kisses (Digipak)
1996 – October Rust
1999 – World Coming Down
2000 – The Least Worst Of (Kompilation)
2003 – Life Is Killing Me
2006 – The Best of Type O Negative (Kompilation)
