Requiem for a dream
This movie is the kind of movie you like or you hate... It has a score of 8.3 on IMDB, which I completely understand, as I love this movie. But I can understand that for some people this movie is too hard, too confronting and not considered as entertainment.
For me a movie must touch me, and this movie sticks to your bones like a packet of butter. Drug and other addiction are just part of our society, but we mostly place this in marginal societies, but it happens in all layers of our planet. And that's what this movie shows like never before.
The music by Clint Mansell is gives shivers from the beginning to the end. The violin and it's repetitive tune stick in your head for days even after just listening a few minutes. This soundtrack is one of the most underrated pieces of music I know.
