American Beauty

This movie really doesn't need an introduction. Kevin Spacey is just outstanding as an "all American" dad with a life that is going nowhere, looking to free his soul... Of course Annette Benning and Mena Suvari are not to forget in the dark and at the same time crazy movie about "life" itself.

The soundtrack by Thomas Newman is an addition to the feel of the movie. The piano gives this feeling of lightness which gives the touch the movie needs. It's the counterweight of the movie.
This whole soundtrack has been an inspiration for lots of people when they have a hard time, including me.
