Comfortably Numb - Roger Water and David Gilmour - One one the greatest guitar solos ever recorded

This must be one of my absolute favourite Pink Floyd songs. The lyrics were written by Roger Water with the music by David Gillmour. They had their differences with this piece of music but in an interview Roger Waters stated that in the end the differences between their two interpretations was with hindsight difficult to recognise today. This in my opinion must be in the top 10 guitar solos. I have always been a Pink Floyd fan and a lot of their music still raises goosebumps.

I have been pleased to see, after looking through Youtube videos that there many young musicians interpreting this track in their own way. I am also pleased to see how many young female guitarists and even an eleven year old boy doing it justice. It gives me hope that the future of music is not destined to devolve into electronic constructs. There are many great musicians waiting in the wings.

O this gives me fond memories of an old boyfriend hahaaha - we use to listen a lot of pink floyd - awesome song

It has many good memories for me as well. I would like to take the opportunity to say that you are doing a great job with the lessons you are providing for the young (and not so young). :)

Thank you - I appreciate it - sometimes I think it is silly but then I think of my little ones in class and what we see as logic or general knowledge, some of them even do not know about - we do not all grow up in the same type of families and houses
