Gimme a shout out if you've heard any of these!
For those who don't know what trance is, it's a type of electronic music similar to techno and house, usually featuring melodic builds, and may or may not be accompanied by dance. I would consider trance to be the classical music of electronic music. It is the father of electronic music, while the grandfather of electronic would be the house and techno groups of the 90's. The great-grandfather of electronic would probably be disco of the 80's :) Most of what I'm showing here is called progressive trance, and it's called progressive trance because of the song isn't typically consistent. The song is broken up into pieces: a build, breakdowns, melody, intermissions, and varies throughout.
Trance is still made nowadays, but I'm showing you what I consider trance classics. Any seasoned listener of trance would probably know most of these.
Hope you enjoy! But even if you don't, I hope you find these interesting.
