The Beatles, 'A Day in the Life'

Top Classic Rock Songs

———-
I found myself stumbling upon this article about the top Classic Rock Songs of All Time. I started playing music with Classic Rock, so I thought that I might as well delve through the list and talk about some of the songs that are listed. So let’s get into this one!
It seems that The Beatles are a no-brainer to be at the top of this list. They created modern popular music, changed how bands are seen in the world, became nearly political figures and altered the musical stratosphere of Earth. I am probably not even giving them enough credit. I can think of some songs that I have learned of theirs through time that I didn’t even initially know was theirs. Every time I look at a list of their songs the reaction is always… “wow they did that song too”.

Background

Albums recorded by the band Beatles, offer such impeccable music. Regardless of the mood, there is always some good music for you. This is the much the band has invested their time in making great music. Through dedication and talent, the band has made the best recordings of all time.

Split

The band later split up. Though each band member, Lennon, and McCartney, started singing individually, their music never became as successful. Besides, deciding between either of the two would be taking sides. They are both just brilliant.
Finally, the band came back together. They brought their minds together. Together they were going to release a song that, has seen to their being in the top 5 of our countdown. The two wrote together, a song that was better than anything they might have previously written together. This song, ‘A day in the Life,' was a masterpiece that the Beatles left with us.

Popularity

Previously, Lennon and McCartney had only written music half as good as this one. Working alone must have taught the two lyricists a thing or two about making great sweet. Finally, the incorporation of the drum and piano by Ringo Starr was the epitome of the song. The piano played alongside the drum is meant to entertain. The band plays instruments for 40 seconds all meant to entertain the audience. Though later in their lives, Lenny and McCarthy, made what is arguably their best recording. The song has been called a masterpiece due to its simplicity and style.

To put it lightly, this post had to be done. The Beatles altered the landscape of music in the world through peaceful movements. They even refused to play at segregated shows because they said that music is supposed to bring people together. So either people could get tickets and agree to be mixed, or they wouldn't play the show. Bold move in that time for the United States... and it definitely makes me give lots of respect to them as human beings beyond just the music that they created.

The Unit

It's important for me to note lastly, that The Beatles were a band of four but a unit of one. They never made any decisions without the group giving 4 votes. This is what I think helped keep them together as long as they were, and helped keep them developing and creating.

Steemians, hope the article got you more interested in what other albums could be in the top of classic rock!
