This day marks the final performance by The Beatles at The Cavern Club.
Tickets for the final show went on sale at 21 July at 1.30pm, and sold out within 30 minutes.
The audience was restricted to 500 people

The Beatles were paid £300
During The Beatles' set a power cut silenced their instruments and plunged the Cavern into temporary darkness.

- a song they wouldn't release until 1967
The Beatles made their Cavern Club début on 9 February 1961.
They performed 280 shows , 155 lunchtime and 125 evening performances.
