There's not much time to write today as I've got a double. The first ones at a very fancy retirement home that's about 10 Mi away and I play with our group of Stardust. Both gigs are playing the bass, and I have to kind of keep up on my energy because now four hours playing at one time it's a lot and there's a lot of running between the two gigs when you go from one gig and there's only an hour between them. have to pack up all the equipment get it in the car and drive 10 miles set it up and play another 2 hours. my wife's worried that I won't have a chance to eat in between and so she makes me a sandwich and I got to somehow get that sandwich down too smiles, you know, so that she feels okay about what I'm doing, and you know it's just a matter of holding up the energy and spacing it out right so that we can do it.
They're both really nice gigs and in the old days I wouldn't have thought anything about playing for 4 hours heck we used to play for 5 hours every night 9 till 2 and then drive home for 2 hours hoping you didn't get stopped. Well those days are over and I'm glad of it and now these gigs are really nice low volume good music gigs. And I love doing it and that's why I do it and that's why most musicians do it just cuz they love doing it and you know because you never make a lot of money doing this you know you make a little bit here and there and actually I did quite well this year I surprised myself when my wife counted it all up and yeah it was almost significant money.
So anyway we go from the fancy retirement home to the nice little Club Martino's that's upstairs bar nice and quiet and we got two different singers today and that makes it more interesting to we have Kacie who sings mostly from the twenties thirties and forties Tunes so entertaining especially for the older set, and then we have Mariah who's a little bit more modern and a little bit more edgy more modern and I'm glad we have her in the evening as usually the music goes pretty fast and easy and seems to be effortless. The variety really makes it interesting to I like it when the gigs are all different.

Well I was fortunate enough to get a LG v20 which has very good media built-in and that was very fortunate as I said because it had less to learn in order to start doing this
