Hans Zimmer - One of Hollywoods Best Movie Composers (music and more inside)

in music •  7 years ago  (edited)

Those who love movies, probably have heard of Hans Zimmer. This Germany composer from Frankfurt am Main, made more than 130 soundtracks for movie like "The Da Vinci Code", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Sherlock Holmes", "Rainman", "The Dark Knight", "Interstellar", and the movie "Inception". The soundtrack of Inception, I like to share with you since not only I really like the soundtrack, but also I really enjoyed the movie. But I must say, many of the movies mr Zimmer composed music for, are solid good movies, like his soundtracks; More than fifty where nominated for rewards, won one time a Academy Award, two times a Golden Globe Award, four times a Grammy Award and numerous other rewards.

Before mr Zimmer went movie, he played in various bands: Helden (with Warren Cann from Ultravox), The Buggles ("Video Killed the Radio Star") and the electro-wave band Krisma. His instruments: keyboards and synthesizers.

Michael Levine, an employee of Hans for more than 8 years working for and with him, explains why Hans is so successful and the best movie composer in the business:

  • Hans is a visionary;
  • Works very very hard;
  • Is a Charmer
  • Delivers

Hi @qsounds,

Thank you for another high quality post, with commentary about Hans Zimmer and the accompanying youtube videos. Of course I've heard of Hans Zimmer, but I didn't know that he had composed the soundtracks for all of the movies you mentioned, so your article was enlightening for me. I was especially surprised to learn that Zimmer had been with the Buggles!
