The Comments Under 90's Dance Classics Are A World Apart (Very Nostalgic And Touching)steemCreated with Sketch.

Hi all,

I'm a huge techno / house fan, but when I want to escape the monotone four to floor beats, or I need some uplifitng music, I often check out 90's dance classic videos on YouTube. Song's like Rozalla - Everybody's Free, Capella - Move On Baby, etc. These songs have such a moving, uplifiting but melancholic tone, I love them, and they don't make music like that anymore.

Once I started reading the comments, I was so suprised. Under almost all of these video's there are dozens of people, usually from the UK rave scene, who are not in their mid 30's, 40's or 50's, and are settled down. They reminisce, often with a lot of happy memories but a lot of nostalgia, about the exact moment when they heard the current song, or their favourite club back in the days, or the group of friends they used to party with. If you read through the lines (or sometimes it's even written down explicitally) they very much miss those days. Reading this always makes me a bit sad, but it's also moving to see that people can think back to a certain time in their lives that can't be described by anything but the time of their lives.

Here are some of my favourites:
