- Cardi B's New Single "Be Careful" Off of "Invasion Of Privacy"

Soooooo Here we are Bronx Sensation Cardi B just released her first single from her anticipated debut album "Invasion Of Privacy" The song dropped early this morning on 3/30/18. As I look at first reactions I'm getting mixed reviews. There are people who love it and there are people who feel its trash, and that shes still a one hit wonder.
Off jump this is not a typical Cardi B song. The laid back beat comes in and gives a more serious vibe. It definitely has tropical island undertones and is very simple. I hear so many different sounds on this track obviously you have the Lauryn Hill reference (Ex-Factor). I also here Drake ( Take a Shot for me/ Hotlinebling). Believe it or not I can even slightly hear Big Pun in her delivery. Many people are saying she should have had someone singing the hook someone like a dej loaf. But in all honesty I'm glad she did it because its gonna give her that experience she needs to get even better. Cardi definitely poured her heart out on this track, so having someone else singing wouldn't have given me the same hardcore vibe I get from it now. How many rap songs have we heard from rappers who can't sing but it still works? The song is very Bronx NY, its raw, and vulnerable which is why I feel she decided to sing it herself. Its her story that she's choosing to tell herself in her own way. I gotta respect that.
Now lets get f acts straight there's not a lot of layers to this song. It sounds like she went in the studio laid it down and said fuck it leave it raw. I feel as though this was done on purpose ....remember the album is called Invasion of Privacy ... So however you are coming in is what you gonna get.. its not gonna be gimmicky or fake. It doesn't mean there is no quality to it or value. This song had to go through many people just to get to us and she has the powerhouse Atlantic behind her. They know what they are doing... This is going to become and Woman's Anthem. Its going to be played so much and get on peoples nerves.
Im glad shes not giving the people what they expect of her. I can admit that she still struggles at times with how she crams words in her flows and has to speed it up just to stay in pocket.. But with that said she has always kinda spit like that.. and "Bodak Yellow" definitely had extra words that she just would double up on to get it in. The other factor that people are trying to figure out is " Who the fuck is this song about?" Automatically the world thinks its Offset 1/3 of The Migos; but thats not the only person she has been with. The song can be about anyone at any point in her life. This is what it means to be an artist. Lets say it is about her fiance Offset, I think that shows how much balls this woman truly has... Its like shes on her Beyonce Formation shit!

This song may not hit #1 on the Billboards because these days if people can't twerk to it in the clubs they not gonna fuck with it. But, like she recently mentioned at iHeart Radio awards the streams from haters listening to talk shit about it benefits her. One thing that this song has like all her other songs is that its very street. Her line "Its not a threat its a Warning" is probably one of the hardest lines in the song. As a listener, one can clearly hear how serious she is.. No laughing matter at all and overall very relate able. The lyrics are not bad and most importantly tell a story. Its consistent, and honestly we have never gotten a story like this from her. I'm proud to be apart of #BardiGang and I'm still excited for her Album 'Invasion Of Privacy"
