Hey folks, i'm learning after effects so i made a music visualization, hope you like it !

So i'm a design student in france and i decided to try to make an animation with music.

At first i didn't know where to go and i was off internet grid so i was a lil bit lost.
I had the trapcodes plugins installed in my after effect but never used them, i thought it was a good occasion to try it. I used Soundkey to track the music spectrum and Mir to make the wiggly-techno tunnel. It was intimidating because of the handfull of settings that are provided but it's great, it shows its wide range of uses .. i guess.
I also used particular but as i said i did not have acess to internet at the moment so i mostly tweaked a preset for it to fit my use but not really got in depth in the plugin.
After that i linked the analized music data provided by soundkey to various parameter such as speed, fractal evolution, time remap and other witchery. Add Starglow, few collor corection, camera blur, salt and pepper, and boom! ... here is the result.

I choose to make it in a cinematic format because i wanted it to look cool, not sure if it was the right choice but i like it.

following : the steps of creation (if i succeded to take pictures of it)

Step 1 : Make the tube.

Step 2 : Add Starglow in the center.

Step 3 : More light plus camera blur.

Step 4 : Add Particles.

Step 5 : Spectrum.

Step 6 : Make it round.

Step 7 : Mirror it and add Starglow. (moar light)

Step 8 : Sandwitch it up!
