For years people told me I looked and acted a bit like Chevy Chase. I never gave it much thought. I'm now 44 and I started developing a fascination with the symbolism in Paul Simon's video for You Can Call Me Al directed by Gary Weis (Wholly Moses). It seems like a basic video but if you pay attention to color coding, themes of maternity/paternity, palindromes and back masking, there is clearly much more going on.
Symbolism
Maternity/Paternity - Pink Room - Light Blue Shirt - Dark Blue Shirt
Trumpet - Gabriel's Horn
Penny Whistle - Glass of Water Breaks
Red Drum - Stanley Kubrick's The Shining "redrum"
The song is 4:40 long
It charted to #44 on the charts.
Again, I'm 44 as of this production
I did a story on an esoteric angle in Fontana, CA that runs 44.66 degrees. Strange coincidences. More 44's in the mix too.
Synchronicity events have meaning.
