The music of the Tuaregs (Tuareg) or the Tergui style, is the music of Southern Numidia (North Africa). Tergui music is an ancestral music, a mixture of black African music and southern Berber music such as Tindé or Ahellil.

The music of the Tuaregs, is a kind of music that is more often sung in chorus. The classical configuration of a tergui musical band is composed of a group leader (choirmaster), generally a soloist (abecniw), a drummer (gellal) and a bengri player (a kind of lute) or a flute temja), two or more dancers.

In 2005, UNESCO proclaimed the Ahellil masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity.
