Music Down Under ~ New York City Hang Drum~

Do you love seeing Art and Music on the great big stage of a city landscape?

I do and I always wanted to showcase the performances I see but had put the idea on the back burner for a long time... Well Steemit, you've done it again and I have been motivated to put up my first video for what could become a series of the artists and musicians of city streets and subway system....

This is Jordan Auber otherwise known on instagram as @colorofrhythm. He plays the Hang Drum.

I was introduced to this instrument years ago in the old streets of El Barri Gòtic of Barcelona. This beautiful sound, something of mixture between a harp and a steal drum. I instantly fell in love with the sound and bought myself a hang drum shortly after.

          We had some wet snow last night, the streets got grosse really fast and it is cold!!!

              Yeah it's a lovely sound for sure. My sons dad makes these for a living but calls them tong drums. One year, my son aged 14 busked all summer with one at all the festivals we went to.

                Very cool! I've heard a couple tong drums that sound amazing.

                Busking with the hang drum in NY was making me on average $25 an hour about 10 years ago, it's insane!
