The "Sheng" Plays Mario Music Perfectly

I just saw this thing on facebook. The instrument is called a Sheng:

it is a

Chinese mouth-blown free reed instrument consisting of vertical pipes. It is a polyphonic instrument and enjoys an increasing popularity as a solo instrument.

I also happen to think it looks like some kind of dark sci-fi citiscape, or the Tower of Saruman from Lord of the Rings:
