Zdravko Čolić - /🌟Ti si mi u krvi🌟/ ( Croatian language)

in music •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey guys! Decided to do something a bit different this time. Never done a song in my language for Steemit so here goes nothing. Hope you enjoy..

Its a very famous song in the Balkans. The way we measure how well a song is loved here is by the noise the audience makes when you sing it live. The noise levels they make on this one is unrivaled by anything ive ever seen.
Hope you enjoy it and see ya soon. :D

Lyrics:

Pogledom me milujes
k'o da me dodirujes
i svaki put kao da je prvi

Ja stalno mislim prestat ce
iz cista mira nestace
al' pozuda ne prestaje
ti si mi u krvi

Toliko dugih godina
uzimanja, davanja
ostajem posljednji i prvi

Zbog tebe sanjam Cigane
i smisljam slatke prevare
al' djavo se ne predaje
ti si mi u krvi

Ref.
Ako te odvedu Cigani cergari
ili te ukradu strasni Haremski cuvari
ako te odvedu ja cu da poludim
bez tebe ne umijem
vise jutrom da se budim

Ako te odvedu sve ce da se srusi
pamti me k'o prijatelja
cuvaj me u dusi i onda kad mislis
da je prekasno za snove, za sve

Toliko dugih godina
uzimanja, davanja
ostajem posljednji i prvi

Zbog tebe sanjam Cigane
i smisljam slatke prevare
al' djavo se ne predaje
ti si mi u krvi

Keep on Steeming!

This was beautiful... <3

Thx Meno. I sometimes wonder what it must be like listening for foreigners to a song in a language thats not a world language like Spanish, English, French, Italian etc.

glazba ne treba prijevod....

And... more importantly, a good singer can sing the menu of a restaurant and make me feel it...

Haha. Yeah, make you feel hungry.. :D

Beautiful in your native tongue, so much more fealing and emotion.
Do it more often please....

So much more? Hmmm.. hahahaha
Ill see how this one goes, maybe i do another. :D

Thanks for taking us on a ride to the Balkans. It's always cool to hear people sing in their native language - it is somehow always a bit different. Might be because people are more passionate or more familiar with it!

Kudos ~

It does come naturally that is true. Its always interesting to see how people react since its not a language you hear a lot of on Steem.
So thank you for the nice comment. 😁❤

Well, sometimes it's not what you say or sing. It's how!

Like our ol' philosopher Marshall McLuhan once said: "The medium is the message"

Well that is quite a bit of wisdom.
But the lyrics are really quite amazing. The translation felt a bit silly so i didnt add it. Youll have to trust me haha. :D

Yes, I agree! When a song is in your own language it is either way more beautiful than translator, or simply super cheesy, hehe.

I trust you!

Wow! So talented. This was awesome! It was great to hear the song in your native language. I think it would probably lose a lot of its emotion if you tried to translate it. Thanks for sharing this! I am beyond impressed!

Awww thank you Bozz. ❤😁

Awww sounds so exotic, love your native tongue. Really amazing singing as usual, love your vibrato always. 💚

Thank you yidneth. Always. Hehe

Once again, you have proved that I don't have to understand words to appreciate music. Your music, in particular, is so much more than the words. Your passion and feeling are just as apparent in your language as mine.

Thank you. It was absolutely lovely.

Thank you Tom. :D I love seeing your comments. Really do.

You know what, lets see what @velimir thinks. Havent annoyed him in weeks. This is in his ballpark. haha
Šefe kako ti se cini ova? :D

Lipo :)

Haha. Hvala hvala. :D

What a surreal experience listening to this as if I know the language but fail to grasp the entire meaning, just bits and parts of phrases. Well done all in all, what a sweet song

Hehe. Well its easier then with other languages for us to learn Russian, so i think it does work the other way around as well.
Im glad you liked it.
