KZ Tandingan, Philippine's unique diva wowed the Chinese crowd in Singer 2018 a reality TV show where some of the best singers in the world earning the top spot for the week.
She bested other professional and populars singers from other parts of the world which includes Angela Zhang of Taiwan (popular for her Taiwanese drama Love at the Dolphin Bay and My MVP Valentine) and British singer Jessie J who is KZ's own idol.
On the competition's fifth week, KZ joined the competition. I was a bit emotional after she thanked Jessie J for inspiring her to sing. KZ was diagnosed with polyp on her vocal chords and she couldn't sing high notes. After hearing Jessie J's song, she was inspired to sing again and emulate her. She won the Philippine's X-Factor and I Can See Your Voice where sang Jessie J's prize and won the grand prize
For her opening salvo at Singer 2018, she sang the jazz version Rolling in the Deep by Adelle with some Filipino rapping. It made me so proud of KZ because she brought her own style to the song. Jessie J got second place. I am so touched by Jessie cheering her before her performance and praising her afterwards.

If KZ will get enough votes, she get the chance to reach the finals on April.
