Steemit Groovy Tuesday #6 - Whammy pedal jam !

in music •  6 years ago

Hey there brothers and sisters of Steemit . Today i really tried to create a buildup in my improvisation , so it was a conscious effort to start off really slowly and with bigger rhythmic values and add more interesting stuff as the song progresses . The end is especially dear to me as it sounds absolutely inappropriate for any musical setting :D Also , i've used a whammy pedal set to one octave up so it sounds funky :D But most importantly it reduces the attack of the guitar , so guitar sounds a lot like horn , which is always a plus in my book ! I honestly don't like the sound of a clean electric guitar , mostly because of the lack of sustain and very clicky attack , so i always try to modify the sound a bit , and add some elements to it so it sounds more vocal-like or more horn - like . It gives me a totally different approach to soloing as i can lean on a certain note for longer period of time and let it sing for a while , wheres with a traditional guitar tone that would not be possible. A bit of rambling , but i hope someone else feels the same way and i hope that these things will be of some value :) Thanks for listening and stopping by :)

Stavrin! I forgot if I've told you before that I think you are a badass musician! We have admiration for Pechichemena's work in common as well. He's my bud. Fun fact, we are in a group called Helpie and we would love for you to join us. Are you interested? Are you in discord? I'm paintingangels(serena)#3668 .. let's be friends :)

Thank you very much Serena for the compliment :)
