This is a daily series in which I will be reviewing music producers and sharing their music with you, so you can learn from the best and apply it in your own way or just discover new music .
No better person to start this off series with one of my all time favorite and in my opinion, one of the best producers out there .
Toby Curwen-Bingley AKA CURBI, is currently 19 years of age and has had huge success in his music career. Getting noticed by Spinnin' Records at the young age of 16, for his banging track 'Discharge', Curbi is one of the most original and innovative producers out there and one of my absolute favorites.
He hales from England in the small and quiet town of Essex where his journey began. Always having a love for music, Toby started playing the drums at a young age, but it didn't feel enough for him, Toby knew he could make music on a computer, but he just didn't know how to. He browsed online, in search of how to make music, coming across multiple Digital audio work stations, FL Studio stuck and felt it was best for him, using it to this day.
He explored a lot of different types of music, with 'Darren Style' being one of his earliest inspirations. He progressed making music and improving, with releases such as, 'Force'-'Vain amenity'-'Dime' and many more.
It was not until 'Discharge' that he got noticed by Spinnin' Records. He says he got the inspiration for 'Discharge' from listening to a track called 'Gecko' by Oliver Heldens, another amazing music producer(Which I will be reviewing in post soon) . 'Discharge got a lot of attention and for good reason, it is very well produced and unbelievably catchy !
And it did not stop there ! Oh no, Toby kept pushing the boundaries with his newer release on Spinnin' Records along with Bougenvilla called 'Butterfly Effect' following up with another banger, a single called '51', he was on fire then as he is still to this day !
He then made the biggest change in his sound when he came up 'Triple Six' strange name I know, but trust me when I say you will not be disappointed in the originality and energy factor to this track, absolutely mental !
I think it's safe to say Curbi is one of the most original and innovative producers out there and has and will keep changing the scene with his amazing music.
A great quote from Curbi I love and we can learn from.
"Just relax with making music, don't get so fixated on a certain style or certain sound, enjoy making music and you will find your own sound."
