I write a lot of songs about my hometown of London. Mandies & Blues seems to be particularly popular with listeners. I wrote it in Moscow, feeling nostalgic for old London town: warm beer, pubs and fish 'n chips. This is a tune about my misspent youth in London in the early days of Punk Rock, when The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned and The Stranglers disrupted the meanderings of prog rockers such as Yes and Pink Floyd, and hit us with a completely new wave of sound. Mandies & Blues was recorded live in the studio with a couple of vocal overdubs. Hope you enjoy this very British sound.
