The poem remind me of characteristics of animals. They live together happy with no rules and ambitions but still know the chain of hierarchy in the animal kingdom. Little kids live happy and may act lackadaisical with joy where they find themselve. It when they start understanding their environment that the pressure of been responsible start becoming burdensome.
