Video: Robyn's Rhumba by David BartlettsteemCreated with Sketch.

Quick and easy video made for Robyn's Rhumba, from Dave Bartlett's CD Lead Your Life By A Song. Written by David Bartlett, Carolyn Dutton and myself. I produced the CD and played the nylon-string lead on this one.

I wanted to create a music video for the tune, but at the time had few resources for visuals. It was a snowy day, so I just taped my iPhone on a window sill and captured a light snow falling in the hollow outside. Hope you enjoy it!

Noyce, noyce! Very Gypsy Jazz-ish as per your leanings, Jeff. Stephane Grappelli and all like that. To me, what sets the piece apart is the little breaks into the major key that you and Carolyn do. Well done to the snow as well....

Thankee very much, Tom, glad you liked my little effort. Lots of changes going on over here. I've been moving away from gigging into doing more audio production, and trying to figure out a path into YT vids for profit. My channels are monetized now, but not much action yet. But then, I've a lot to learn about doing good video. Bought some software, a green screen, some pro lighting and whatnot. Haven't had time to work with all that very much yet, but it's on the front burner, anyway.

I figure, if nothing else, when the good Lord decides my time is done, I'll hopefully have left something of interest behind. No interest in releasing CDs, though, I see that as a waste of resources these daze. And the old 'book the gig, play the gig, spend the money, rinse and repeat' way of doing things just doesn't appeal to me much anymore. Not ready to retire, but it's definitely time to change how I do things.

Getting back in the radio show business, too. My friend Del Sheets started a show at the first of the year called the Lost Cabin Lodge with my old pickin' buddy Frank Jones, but found it too difficult to manage a Brown County-centric radio show from two counties away. So I'm buying out his interest for a song, and Jonesy and I will be partners in crime again, but this time with a radio show focus. More at http://www.lostcabinlodge.com

Been trying to wrap my head around the crypto thing, and Steemit especially. There's something about this platform, but damn, it's complicated. But I can see Steemit, and crypto in general, just amazing the world in a few short years... maybe even saving us from a Mad Max meltdown... assuming it isn't subverted by the PTB the way most things are. It's decentralized nature might be the only thing that spares it from appropriation and manipulation. We'll see.

Hope you're doing well and are well, buddy. This getting old thing ain't for pussies. My best to Linnie Red.
