I'm currently visiting a friend I met at University in Toulouse. By chance it happened that I arrived just a day before the Fête de la musique. I had never heard of this annual celebration before and after experiencing it I think every one of you should do so too!
Fête de la musique is essentially a huge party on the streets of France, it is hugely popular (it is estimated that 10 million people hit the streets every year to celebrate).
This was simply an awesome night! As you walk around the city, every corner has a brewing party of its own.
Thousands of people both young and old celebrating and dancing, enjoying each others company. A range of musical performances from Capoiera to Hip-Hop to Balcon style music are on display; Young people jumping up and down surrounding performers.
It was truly a night to remember and one I definitely recommend for all of you to experience!
