Sometimes you only need a pair of torn jeans in order to live the party of the Century.

When La Isla Bonita L❤️ve Festival - is calling once a year, the whole Canary Islands stand in line in order to get one of the highly demanded admission tickets.

I was lucky to be invited by my best friend who gave me the ticket for my birthday.

The festival has a social background since it supports the idea of #loveislove, opposing discrimination and promoting sexual equality.

Now when one of the most famous Mexican bands is announced as the main act of such a great human initiative, things go really crazy on our little archipelago.

Be my witness when 15,000 people start singing all at once!

Getting the goosebumps

For the first time ever I participated in a macrofestival on the isle of La Palma.

What you need to know is that La Palma is one of the smaller Canary Islands, best know for its ecological bananas and spectacular hike paths.

One wouldn't actually expect a big party to take place just here. But that's exactly what happens once a year.

Then the local airline Binter schedules additional, extra large airplanes for the festival weekend, and Armas sends out one of its bigger ferries in order to carry people from the surrounding islands to the festival hot spot and back home.

For one night la isla bonita - as La Palma is officially called - is converted into an unrivaled musical melting pot! Check the video sequence for the goosebumps:

Do you feel the magic?

The band Maná from Guadalajara, Mexico (a city you may know very well from @tangerinetravels' travel blog on Steem) was formed back in 1986.

During the past more than three decades of their musical career they've topped the all-time lists in much of Latin America and in their native Mexico, where they set landmarks in record sales and concert attendances.

They did for a reason! I loved every minute of their performance.

Besides the main act I was totally amazed by the Colombian singer and songwriter Sebastian Yatra. Honestly, it wasn't only due to the fact that he took off (and even destroyed) all the shirts he wore during the show -
in order to present a well defined six pack in the spotlight, haha!

I swear, the music was really good, too! :-D

There's not much time for curing one's hangover, since the next party is already around the corner.

In less than three weeks one of the biggest traditional processions of the whole Canary Islands will take place on la isla bonita.

The so called Bajada de la Virgen del Pino is only celebrated every three years which makes the whole thing even more exciting - and attracts almost 40,000 people from all Canary Islands. Wham!

Guess who's gonna be there..! :-)
