I am a Musicoin artist new to the Steemit community. Greetings to all!

I just joined Steemit and this is my first post. I am excited to be a part of this community, as it appears to be thriving and quite effervescent!

My name is Karim, AKA The Reverend Maelstrohm Black, and I am the creator of the one-man darkwave/industrial electro project, TAPHOPHILIA. I am relatively new to crypto and blockchain technology, but I am VERY stoked by it and the possibilities it offers!

I joined Musicoin in late December and I am very active on the site, reposting my and my fellow musicoiner's music regularly on all my social feeds.

I strongly feel Musicoin is the future of fair artistic remuneration, especially for us independent artists! Most typical streaming platforms offering a paid subscription service require that musicians publish their songs through an intermediary - that charges a publishing fee - and end up paying the artist mere fractions of a cent per stream, which is ridiculous, IMO.

Musicoin.org, on the other end, empowers artists to take full charge of the publishing process, as well as offering them a decent wager each time one of their tracks is played, i.e. earning them 1 musicoin per play - musicoin is the crypto currency used on the site, which is currently valued at about 4 cents per unit - which is far more than any other offer available out there! Furthermore, the fans can listen to all the music for FREE, even though the artists get remunerated, as the musicians' "salary" is entirely funded by the UBI - or universal basic income - which is generated by the musicoin project through a percentage of all blocks mined - google crypto mining to understand the process - being redirected to the UBI pool. Therefore, the fans do not have any subscription to purchase, nor do they have any fees related to their participation on the site!
