Bands I really Loved: Free

in music •  6 years ago  (edited)

Who of us older people can ever forget All Right Now?

The young Band Free's introduction to the whole World, which launched many imitator's and Paul Rogers virtually unmatched vocals ,

Belting it out and you could still understand every word!

By the early 1970s, Free became one of the biggest-selling British blues rock groups; by the time the band retired/split, in 1973, they had sold more than 20 million albums around the world and had played more than 700 arena and festival concerts.

"All Right Now" remains a rock staple and has been entered in ASCAP's "One Million" airplay singles club!

Unfortunately , like with so many others , Drugs started to affect the Band,

Paul Kossoff, such a stylish Guitarist started a rapid decline , with various little bursts of normalcy every now and then.

From this Band came, Bad Company, Sharks and Back Street Crawler!

Unfortunately Paul Kossoff died at the age of 25 with Drug Related Problems , another Great Talent Lost!

Here is the entire segment of Free's Concert at the Isle of Wight in 1970

The Song Wishing Well was actually written for their friend, Kossoff, listen to the Words!
