If you haven't had the chance to watch artist Kodak Black's latest music video, "Patty Cake", you definitely should give this song a chance. Visually, the music video drags viewers into a comic-book-esque rendition of a high school where Kodak reigns supreme. He is the only character drawn out in the video in order to separate himself from the crowd but also because he is on house arrest and cannot easily film scenes outside of his home. The retro feel of "Patty Cake" brings viewers back to the golden days of the past, where popularity contests and street cred filled the halls of school. The happy-go-lucky piano instrumental accompanying the lyrics adds to Kodak's attempt to develop a fun setting of battling for reputation in one's youth.
The video is absolutely worth checking out and deviates from other styles of rap that have infiltrated the scene today, making "Patty Cake" a very entertaining piece to listen to.
