In late 1996, Snoop finally released his 2nd album "while viewed somewhat as a disappointing follow-up to his massive mega-hit debut album "Doggystyle" despite the absence of his mentor Dr.Dre and his deceased comrade 2Pac, Snoop's rhymes of survival pack a punch on this album. in my opinion the album could've been a lot better although it had some bangers but it didn't hit me or had the replay value like "Doggystyle" did "Tha Doggfather" is pretty lukewarm but that's understandable Snoop was actually going through a lot when this album was recorded, in court of a murder charge, 2Pac was murdered, being broke and Death Row was falling apart. the tracks "Gold Rush", "Vapors", "You Thought", "Doggyland" and "Downtown Assassins" are the best songs off the album in my personal opinion. overall, this album is no "Doggystyle" but its not as bad as people make it out to be it was an OK album. what's y'all thoughts on this album???!!!... @snoopdogg #snoopdogg #thadoggfather #westcoasthiphop #longbeachCA #snoop #snoopdoggydogg #unclesnoop #deathrow #vapors #goldrush #213 #LBC #westside #gfunk #classic #legendary #90shiphop #realhiphoponly #fuckmumblerap #1996
