A long time ago, I met this girl and I felt as if we were destined together. On our first year anniversary I gave her a promise ring with the understanding that if we were still together by the end of our 5th year anniversary, I would propose to her and we would start the next level of our life. Four years and somewhere around three months into the relationship we ended up breaking up. This was the beginning of my new life. This song was my final plea to her as we separated. This is the accoustic version which came out later, but it is the same song.
I'm glad to say that several years later, I am married to that girl.
