Album info:
Chef Aid: The South Park Album is a 1998 soundtrack/compilation album based on the American animated comedy series South Park. Several well-known artists perform on the record, which was mainly produced by Rick Rubin. Chef Aid contains a number of songs from and inspired by the show, while other songs are largely independent from South Park. The album was released during the show's second season, shortly after the broadcast of the episode called "Chef Aid", which features many of the stars and songs that appear on the recording. Soul singer Isaac Hayes appears in character as Chef throughout the album, which mimics a live concert.
Chef Aid: The South Park Album was made available with two collectible covers and in three different versions – "Clean", "Explicit", and "Extreme". The Explicit version contains profanities (including "fuck") and carries a Parental Advisory sticker, but it is still censored, even for lesser profanities, such as "goose shit". The Extreme version is completely uncensored. (source)

My story with this album:
As I am a huge South Park fan this album can’t miss in my collection. Loved the Chef Aid episode with the big music festival in South Park with all the stars that make their appearance.
The combination of some great musicians combined with the South Park humour gave us a great music album in my opinion. Not to forget the monster hit single from Chef (Isaac Hayes) singing about his Salty Balls. This is again an album in my collection that has been copied by quite some people back in the days and made some of my friends South Park fans from there on.
My first introduction to South Park is through a colleague who got the South park Christmas card episode send to him by his American friends and we loved it instantly. The first episodes we watched where send trough some shady FTP servers from the states to us as in Europe South Park was not on the air yet. This quickly changed as MTV picked it up and aired it somewhere deep in the night, so the vcr was programmed for a weekly shot of South Park. Now days with Comedy Central embedded in our system we can watch it a day or two after the US premiere, which makes it obsolete to illegal download it anymore (the way it should be).
Back to the music album and not my history with South Park. I haven’t listen to this album for quite some time now but it will stay out of the closet for now and on to the pile: forgotten but ready to listen again in the very near future. And besides listening to this album I will have a look at the episode Chef Aid! (S02E14) once again to see the comical versions of some freaking good bands whom made their "real" appearance in this episode.
