Winner announcement for the Steemit Song Collaboration Project Contest. 100 SBD awarded!

Thanks again for everyone who participated. This is hopefully just the beginning of doing some great musical collaborations on a regular basis. You can check out all the entries here

I have to say that the judges have had quite the internal battle over this. Every song met these requirements. So in the end they debated about what song was best lyrically to represent steemit and which one would be best for a collaboration project. Fellow musician judges debated over what song would be the easiest for a collaboration and the best for the project. All had their pros and cons. One thing was how easy would the chorus be to sing so many people from anywhere could join in no matter if they played an instrument. These were the types of things that were debated at length.
@bubke Bub and the Goa Boys were in the top running along with @econists

But in the in end it was decided that the @steembirds "Trending" fit the bill as the chorus fit the qualifications to a T. Easy for anyone or any group of people to sing too without too much effort. Represented Steemit in a positive way would be a great song to collaborate on. So congrats to the @steembirds! 100SBD headed your way!!

I forgot to thank someone in my last post. And that is @gardenbsquared who has been very helpful and offered to do the actual video editing when the time comes for collaboration. This will be enormously useful and key to doing what we want to accomplish. @gardenbsquared also helped @bubke to fix up the audio a bit on his video. This is what it is all about helping each other and creating some music. I was so happy to see the great entry from @bubke. I loved how both @bubke and @ecoinstant songs took a swipe at Facebook.

As a reminder this was not about performance, sound quality or stage presence. It was about song choice. Choosing a song that positively represented steemit, that would be fairly easy for people of varying musical abilities to participate in and helped get some attention for the phase II. The actual collaboration project.

So singers, guitarists, bass players, spoon players, anyone can participate in what we hope to be an epic video. As a reminder of the sort of thing were trying to accomplish see the video below.

Again I want to thank everyone who encouraged me, helped me, entered or just commented and shared. I'm not giving up. This will become a thing! This is just the start.
