Synthwave genre a "quick buck"-niche or real musicians?

Synthwave is a genre of electronic music influenced by 1980s film soundtracks and video games. Beginning in the mid 2000s, the genre developed from various niche communities on the Internet, reaching wider popularity in the early 2010s.

A few months ago I started a Synthwave playlist on spotify. In no time I got +1000 followers.
It's obvious to say that people of the 80s are still searching for those neon influences in music. New songs are still hard to find, but the sound and synth atmospheres have never disappeared.

As this synthwave/retrowave thing is still a rather new uprising underground phenomenon, there is so much to offer in this niche genre and in most cases it's hard to say most productions' quality are legit. A lot of producers are not able to reproduce this type of music in the right way and are trying too hard to get a quick buck of this market.

I decided to create a playlist of quality productions, you decide if you are into this synthwave/retrosynth thing ... enjoy!
